Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad

Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad

Check this out:
Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad

Why it’s Cool:
BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad is an anime based on a Manga about a 14-year-old boy named Yukio Tanaka. Yukio goes by the nickname Koyuki, which means Little Yuki.

Mongolian Chop Squad follows the life of Koyuki as he and his band mates work their way to the top in the music industry.

BECK is one of the few music animes that really will inspire you.

Is it entertaining? Is it educational? Or a little of both?
BECK I would say is entertaining but it’s inspirational in that it teaches you to follow your dreams. No matter what life has to throw at you, there’s always a way to get back on your feet.

A big theme throughout the series is to never give up and never have regrets. The series draws you in as you follow the different situations that Koyuki and his band members encounter in their daily lives, like when Koyuki overcomes his shyness and performs at a show or when Ryūsuke has to deal with a part of his past that he would rather leave behind.

BECK also shows you the reality about the struggles of starting a band, the thrill of success and the heart that goes into it.

Things you should know:

  1. Theme: Music
  2. Genre: Comedy, drama, romance, slice of life
  3. Age Rating: Teenager (may contain bloodless violence, bad language, nudity)
  4. Running Time: 25 minutes
  5. Episodes Completed: 26

Bella’s bio

Bella, kids' panellist

Bella, kids' panellist

I’m the type of person who will laugh in the middle of the street because I remembered something funny that happened to me yesterday. I’ve always been the kind of person who loves to make people smile and laugh.

I’m kind of a nerd. I love watching anime and reading manga and I can recognize any voice actor or actress.

I tend to get over protective if my friends are going to get hurt.

I love music. I cannot live without it in my life. My favourite quote about music is: “When words fail music speaks”.
