Photoshop
Why it’s [not] Cool:
Photoshop gives a false sense of beauty, age, weight and much, much more. Magazines use Photoshop to alter pictures. Even if the models are skinny, they will make them even skinnier!
ALWAYS question anything you see in beauty magazines, websites or ads! Beauty isn’t what matters — it’s how you act, it’s kind gestures, caring words and bright eyes.
Is it entertaining? Is it educational? Or a little of both?
Photoshop is educational in a way if you’ve figured out how not to be fooled by the media.
Why? Because teens of both genders are beginning to think that they have to look a certain way, dress a certain way and act a certain way to fit the role portrayed. That’s how advertisers make their money: by targeting the “image”.
Here is an extreme example of a makeover to make someone look years younger — inspired by the Benjamin Button. See if you can figure you out who the person is…
Don’t get fooled by all this media and know what your seeing in these photos. The image of beauty presented by advertisers can’t even be reached by those who model for them.
Bella’s bio
I’m the type of person who will laugh in the middle of the street because I remembered something funny that happened to me yesterday. I’ve always been the kind of person who loves to make people smile and laugh.
I’m kind of a nerd. I love watching anime and reading manga and I can recognize any voice actor or actress.
I tend to get over protective if my friends are going to get hurt.
I love music. I cannot live without it in my life. My favourite quote about music is: “When words fail music speaks”.
