Commercials For Men

Why it’s cool:

Commercials for men are the strangest advertisements ever. Two examples are the Old Spice commercial, “The Man Your Man Could Smell Like”, and “AXE – Smell My Finger”.

(Gag)

Advertisements now are just unbelievably strange. Really, I doubt that someone would bury their face in a guy’s hair just because they used a certain gel.

According to Terry O’Reilly, a really smart guy who spends a ridiculous amount of time thinking about advertising: “Men are really two men … the man they are and the man they want to be. Advertisers realized that courting the second man was the opportunity.”

So after years of making girls and women feel inadequate, advertisers are now heaping a serious dose of inferiority on men too. Nice.

Is it entertaining? Is it educational? Or a little of both?

As ridiculous as they are, I find these commercials very entertaining to watch. The most entertaining one is, of course, the Old Spice ad. To me the products smell awful, but that’s just me.

Now to show these commercials (even though many people have seen them already)…

Bella, kids' panellist

I’m the type of person who will laugh in the middle of the street because I remembered something funny that happened to me yesterday. I’ve always been the kind of person who loves to make people smile and laugh.

I’m kind of a nerd. I love watching anime and reading manga and I can recognize any voice actor or actress.

I tend to get over protective if my friends are going to get hurt.

I love music. I cannot live without it in my life. My favourite quote about music is: “When words fail music speaks”.
