More Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark

What’s cool!
Hey guys it’s Jahmari. I just read More Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and the author is Alvin Schwartz. It’s cool because in the story there are all different monsters and killers like a ghost, vampires, butchers and zombies. Another thing that is cool about the book is that some of the stories have morals. One of the story`s moral is: don’t always listen to other people’s opinions.

Check this out
If you like scary stories like me you should check this book out and, it is also just in time for Halloween so you may get creeped out like I did when I read some of the stories. Also I think that you should check this book out because in the book there are a bunch of short stories all in one book, so you can read one or two or all of them at once. A lot of the stories have creepy pictures too. One story, The Dead Man’s Hand, has a gross illustration of a cut off hand. This book is great if you’re planning to have a Halloween sleepover because the stories may scare all of your friends and keep them up all night! I recommend using a flashlight for an added scare effect.

It’s Educational/It’s Entertaining
The book is entertaining because I like reading scary stories and I really like short stories. The book is also educational because the stories are based on old folk tales.

Also my favourite story is called The Bed by the Window. I like it because it was really scary, and it taught me a lesson. The lesson is, don’t want things just because people brag about them, it may not be worth it.

If you really like More Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark you can read the other two books in the series also written by Alvin Schwartz.
